DEVELOP Training, one of the UK’s leading accredited providers of compliance, technical and safety training, is supporting Scotland’s growing demand for industry-leading Facilities Management and Utilities training, recruiting trainers to deliver their programmes and with plans in place to upgrade its Linlithgow Training Centre.
Develop is encouraging talented individuals from across the Scottish Electrical, Water Systems, Utilities and H&S sectors to become industry-leading trainers and help inspire the next generation of local talent, with the support of its latest recruitment campaign. The recruitment programme is aimed at existing self-employed trainers and new recruits.
As part of the campaign, Develop has created an incentive package that includes a £5,000 bonus for all new directly employed trainers from industry. Formal training and qualifications such as the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA3) and the Award in Education and Training (AET), alongside the company’s new induction programme are offered along with the support of a dedicated, highly experienced programme mentor.
The ‘Emerge’ recruitment project is all about creating new pathways for talented and experienced engineers and providing them with the chance to consider furthering their career with a move into adult education and training. Additionally with this project, Develop hopes to support and address the aging workforce issues in this sector and aims to plug the skills gap in Scotland.
In particular, Develop is seeking to recruit engineers into areas such as Electrical and Mechanical engineering, Water Systems and Legionella, Gas and Water Distribution, and general Health and Safety management.
John Kerr, Managing Director at Develop, said: “We are excited to be able to offer a first-class package of training and very much look forward to helping those in Scotland, currently working in the industry, to make the transition into a fulfilling new career in training on an employed or self employed basis. The company is highly committed to supporting and developing our colleagues as is demonstrated by our recent achievement of the Investors in People Gold award.”
Furthermore, Develop’s Scotland centre, based in Linlithgow, is meeting the limited offering in the country by making High Voltage training available at the soon-to-be refurbished facility. The upgrade at Linlithgow centre will see the introduction of custom-built workshops, as well as refurbished classrooms and outdoor spaces. The centre already offers training in LV Electrical, Water Systems, Legionella and Utilities, and will soon add HV Electrical and a range of Health and Safety training to its portfolio.
