MEARS Care has secured more than £21 million worth of contracts in the last six months, growing the company’s care business, and resulting in 120 new roles.

The contracts have been won across the UK and will see Mears delivering different levels of care across projects including 24/7 provision in a newly built supported living scheme in West Lothian and increasing its care services for older people in Cambridgeshire. Contracts have also been secured in Southampton, Sunderland and North Lanarkshire.

The announcement of the new contracts comes as Mears Care successfully retained its Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation. Mears Care division was deemed fully compliant with the standard, which aims to make a tangible difference to service users by encouraging organisations to focus on their customers individual needs and preferences.

Bernadette Walsh, Chief Operating Officer for Mears Care, said: “These contract wins are testament to the hard work of our staff, who all deliver our service with compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to improve the lives of our service users. I am so pleased to see our business expanding and look forward to working across these contracts.”

With a network of branches across the UK, Mears has been providing housing with care support services since 1994. Mears Care provides high-quality care to vulnerable people, focussing on care which enables people to live as independently as possible through our extra care settings and supported living services.
