James Martin joins the growing residential property team as an associate, bringing with him extensive experience in both the English and Scottish residential property markets.

James said: “Thorntons has an excellent reputation for client service, colleague retention and career development – values which closely align with my own. So far, I have been highly impressed by the caliber of solicitors and partners who are experts in their respective fields, and the firm’s commitment to supporting their people and local communities.

“Having started my career at a firm based in Fife, I’m looking forward to bringing all that I’ve learned back to a property market I have a lot of experience within.”

Elsewhere, Claudine Tumangan has joined the Glasgow team, as a solicitor in the intellectual property team. She’ll work alongside the team there to advise on a range of matters including risk management, confidentiality agreements and international transfers of data.

“The new generation of lawyers coming through the firm are extremely capable, hardworking, and most importantly, share the same values as those who have gone before them. I am very confident they will quickly play their part in providing our growing roster of clients with the benefit of their specialist knowledge and sectoral expertise.”
