SCOTTISH firm Consilium Chartered Accountants have revealed a round of internal promotions that will further enhance the company’s prospects for continued growth. The promotions come at the end of what has been a year of expansion for the Glasgow-based firm.

Susan Webb – one of the original members of the Consilium team – has been promoted to Finance and Operations Director. Susan will lead all financial and operational aspects of the business and assist the partner team with strategic planning.

“Consilium is a great place to work based on shared values and helping clients and colleagues achieve their goals”, said Susan Webb. “I’m delighted to be a part of that, and I look forward to supporting the Partner team with our ambitious plans for the next five years.”

Within Audit, Brian Thomson has been promoted to Associate Director and will become the firm’s second responsible individual (RI). Having joined Consilium earlier in 2022, Brian will lead statutory audit services for several of the company’s largest corporates and charities.

Brian Thomson said: “I am delighted to be promoted to Associate Director at Consilium and want to thank the partners and wider team. It is going to be an exciting year ahead for our growing firm and I am looking forward to being more involved in the management side of the business.”

Colin McCrann becomes an Assistant Manager within Corporate Finance and Kirsty Boal will now take up the role of Assistant Manager in Consilium’s Tax department. In the Accounting and Business Services team, Samantha McCallum steps up to the role of Supervisor.

Discussing the promotions, founding partner David Holt said: “Teamwork is one of the values that underpin our ‘Be Consilium’ mantra. As a firm, we reward and support our team members and these promotions reflect their dedication and commitment.”

“Retaining the best talent is essential as we continue to grow. The promotions reflect the value of our colleagues and the key roles they play in helping our clients achieve their business goals.”
