Senior business figure joins growing energy firm

BILLY McFadyen, a Director at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), has joined specialist energy consultancy, USAVE Utility Contracts, as a non-executive director.

Specialists in providing energy advice to businesses, Billy joins as the company embarks on an ambitious growth strategy.  Responsible for the management of 7,000 metres, the business, which was founded by Anthony Hale, is on course to increase turnover to £10m in the next five years.

With a track record in finance and commercial development, Billy will be instrumental in the drive for growth.  He joins the Executive Team who include Martin Hale, Compliance Director, Aman Singh, Operations Director and Neil Davidson, Client Services Director.

Anthony Hale, Managing Director of USAVE said: “Billy has an impeccable track record in business development, and we are excited to benefit from his knowledge, skills and experience.

“We have doubled our turnover in the past two years alongside the number of employees and have just opened a back-office support centre in India.  However, we are aware that we need to carefully manage the way forward to ensure that we continue to offer the best customer service possible which has served us well and set us apart from competitors.”

Currently Director of Finance and Development at the SEC, Billy was previously Regional Managing Director for Robertson Homes where he grew the business from a £7m to £40m turnover.

Based in Cumbernauld USAVE Utility Contracts monitor live daily market tariffs and provide energy advice and audits on gas, electricity and water costs to UK businesses, as well as advise on green energy strategies and multi-site meter installations.  The company currently manages customer energy contracts in excess of a nine-figure sum annually and clients include Indigo Sun, FES, and Celtic Football Club.   Further information is available from www.usavecontracts.com
