Independent recruitment specialists, Influx Group, has increased turnover by more than 260% between February and August 2018 compared to the previous 6 month period.
The firm also moved to new premises in the shadows of the three Forth bridges in South Queensferry to accommodate the growth.
Having won the ‘Most Enterprising Start Up Company’ at the 2017 Fife Business Awards, Influx has continued to flourish and has now established itself as a key recruitment partner for businesses across Scotland. In addition, they have also recruited for clients as far afield as Indonesia and The Falkland Islands.
Owner, Sharon Menzies, identified the recently refurbished Quantum House Business Centre in Stoneycroft Road, South Queensferry as the ideal location for her team to establish themselves further and meet their additional expansion plans.
“Given the industries that we recruit for, it’s quite symbolic that from our office we can see the Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, three of Scotland’s greatest Engineering & Construction projects”, said Menzies.
“We have enjoyed a successful time of late with and this increase in business has resulted in 3 new Consultants. We will, ideally, look to recruit one or two more over the next 6 months and this great location now makes it easier for us to attract staff from West Lothian, Edinburgh and even Stirlingshire while it’s still close enough to Fife for our current staff to commute easily.
It can be difficult to stand out in such a saturated market but we are trying to do things a bit differently. For example, I am a firm believer in treating staff the right way so we don’t stand over them forcing them to make hundreds of sales calls every week. I prefer them to have a smaller number of great clients with whom they can work closely. That has worked for me and is the foundation of the business.”
