Founder Alex Barron said “It’s a bit of a Win – Win, The consumers get to try a tailored selection of new products, at home for free – without a catch! Whilst brands benefit from deeper consumer engagement, powerful insights and viral social buzz – all at speed, scale and a fraction of the cost!”

This second round investment was made with Jim Lewcock and Dominic Benton, co-founders of new Brighton-based venture capital firm BLUE14. These investors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from decades in the London media world.

Jim Lewcock was the creator of The Specialist Works, which reached annual turnovers exceeding £100 million. BLUE14 also recently invested in Edinburgh-based online craft beer retailer, Flavourly, as well as other fast-growing start-ups across England.

When talking about the return brands see from collaborating with Triyit, Alex Barron said “our consumer community is at the heart of everything we do. The “ hyper-targeted” nature of our campaigns is where the magic all begins. We’re able to truly match the right consumers with the right products, that’s where our extraordinary results come from. The engagement, feedback and word-of-mouth spread that brands receive is unrivalled. Even on our smallest campaigns, the returns are HUGE and the whole thing is fully trackable!”

The Glasgow-based company is rapidly expanding, with the team expected to at least double in size by the end of 2019.

Originally conceived as an idea whilst working in his “dream job” in New Zealand, Barron spent a year in research and concept development before deciding to take the jump and return to Scotland to develop his idea.

Triyit recently won £60,000 at round 13 of the Scottish EDGE competition in December 2018 with Barron also scooping the Scotland & Northern Ireland Service Industries Award at the Great British Entrepreneurs Award 2018.
