SCOTTISH property management service Pillow is poised to expand into the United States as well as growing its operations across the United Kingdom.

The Ayrshire-based property management’s first US employee, a former Miss Scotland finalist and professional model, Eilidh Bennett, will move to Florida in October to spearhead the firm’s expansion into the American market.

Pillow has chosen Florida as its starting point in the USA owing to the state’s thriving holiday rental market.

The company also expects to open in three further states, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia, from January 2022.

Pillow will replicate its successful UK model across the Atlantic and will also provide customers and clients with a brand-new technology-based service aimed at fulfilling their specific requirements.

Also, as part of this innovative and industry-leading expansion, Pillow will take part in a 10-week business accelerator programme in New York.

Back in the UK, Pillow also expects to grow from its operations in Scotland to include other British locations, which already includes Birmingham, Cornwall, Plymouth, and the Solent area, among others.

Pillow’s expansion at home is being driven by a new UK-wide franchising opportunity that it has announced which will see each individual franchisee given their own part of the country to manage and will provide them with expert advice from the firm’s experienced and motivated team.

Founded in 2016, Pillow provides expert and professional property management services to holiday homes and serviced apartments to help them reach the markets they need to and grow their businesses. For guests, Pillow works to connect them with an extensive range of properties to let both in Scotland and across the UK.

With Pillow every property, every client, and every booking work towards helping local communities, vulnerable people, and solving the most important global challenges we all face. The company has also facilitated over £1m of charity donations throughout its history.

The firm also goes a step further than others in the industry through the sophistication of its business model; helping providers maximise their income and enjoy a hands-off approach. Pillow goes far beyond simple advertising, offering a bespoke and tailored service to meet the needs of both guests and clients

CEO Scott Weir said:

“Launching in the US market has been our aspiration for some time and so I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve reached this incredible milestone in our company’s story.

“Coupled with our expansion across the United Kingdom, it’s clear that at Pillow we’ve put together a business model, driven by our wonderful and dedicated staff and partners, that has what it takes to imbue our industry with the spirit of success that it will need to recover from the global pandemic.

“My colleagues and I look forward immensely to getting to know the customers and partners that we will be privileged to work with as we continue on our journey together.”
