Scottish fashion App Mallzee off to Paris Lafayette Plug and Play

Personalised shopping app, Mallzee will be flying the flag for the Scottish fashion and tech industries, having been shortlisted in the prestigious Lafayette Plug and Play in Paris.
Galeries Lafayette Plug and Play is bringing together the 30 brightest retail and fashion tech businesses from throughout Europe to compete for a coveted place on their 3 month accelerator programme to work with world class mentors, Fortune 500 companies and leading venture capitalists from the Paris base.
Mallzee, founded in Edinburgh in early 2013 is the UK’s leading multi-retailer shopping app helping users to find, compare and buy items from over 200 high street retailers. Commonly dubbed the Tinder for fashion, Mallzee has almost one million users generating millions of product interactions daily.
Now fully established at the forefront of m-commerce innovation, the Mallzee team has taken the technology one step further launching Product Intelligence, a B2B dashboard which harnesses the product interactions to give retailers real time actionable insights into maximising existing product profitability and predicting future ‘winners’.
Cally Russell, Founder and CEO of Mallzee said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to present at Lafayette Plug and Play and to be following in the footsteps of such luminaries as PayPal and Dropbox. Retail is changing and companies such as Galleries Lafayette realise this and are turning to technology to grow their businesses. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in the Scottish retail environment but can’t wait to take our new product intelligence solutions to retailers across Europe, hopefully this will be first step on this voyage.”
