THE SCOTTISH Energy Forum has appointed Donna Sutherland to its board of directors.

She brings almost 20 years of experience in energy markets, regulation, power networks, oil and gas terminal transformation and operations to the role.

Sutherland is currently a manager for EnQuest’s Infrastructure and New Energy business.

She drives the identification and delivery of new electrification and hydrogen-based decarbonisation solutions at Sullom Voe, one of Europe’s largest oil terminals.

The Scottish Energy Forum’s board comprises energy industry professionals, academics, innovators and advisors.

Board members oversee the forum’s programme of events, ensuring it remains the national forum for the presentation and discussion on all aspects of energy, from the economy and industrial to technical and political.

John Naismith, vice president of the Scottish Energy Forum, said: “Donna will make an invaluable contribution to the Scottish Energy Forum.

“She has worked across the sector and represents the opportunities and challenges facing the energy industries- the adaptation of hydrocarbon expertise, infrastructure and resources to secure our future energy supply.

Donna Sutherland said: “The energy space is fundamentally shifting, and the Scottish Energy Forum provides a unique platform to showcase how these changes are going to unfold.

“New technologies, different viewpoints, whole systems approaches and more will be under discussion this year, and I’m pleased to be part of the board that will help select the speakers to spark these conversations.”

The Scottish Energy Forum brings together energy professionals from across all disciplines and areas of expertise. It holds monthly briefings in Edinburgh and London, offering members and their guests the opportunity to join discussions and debate in an informal and social setting.
