SCION Instruments, who are headquartered in Livingston, have appointed Neil Robertson as their new Chief Executive Officer.
SCION Instruments are one of the principal manufacturers of Chromatography (GC/LC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) Instrumentation for the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental and food industries. They are also a leading supplier of instrumentation for a wide range of chromatography applications.
With sites in the UK and the Netherlands, the organisation is currently undergoing major growth and expanding their Headspace and Mass Spectrometer lines by opening a new manufacturing facility at their headquarters in Livingston.
As the organisation continues to expand into global markets, investment has been focused on the research and development team, and in particular new product development.
SCION manufactures instruments such as the SQ GCMS, which covers the analysis of organic pollutants like Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), and pesticides.
They provide solutions to clients in the food and beverage industry, supporting production and processing to ensure healthy and safe products for consumers, while also working to supply solutions to protect our natural environment.
The organisation also supports their global clients in the development and production of highly reliable and safe pharmaceutical drugs.
With a successful record of driving growth in his previous roles, new CEO Neil Robertson joins the organisation with a wealth of experience.

Robertson joins SCION from Peak Scientific, where he grew the revenue sevenfold over eight years, and established them as the market leader in laboratory gas generation across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Before joining Peak Scientific, Robertson held various commercial and marketing roles at Air Products, where he was responsible for leading commercial and marketing strategies, launching new products and driving revenue and profitability across the EMEA region.
