THE CAMANACHD Association (the Association) is pleased to announce that Rathbones Investment Management (Rathbones), one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms, has become the latest business to join the Camanachd Association Business Club to help support the development of shinty across the country.

The Camanachd Association Business Club is a group of businesses which are committed to investing in the sport at a grassroots level, helping to drive up participation numbers and support young people across Scotland.

Rathbones will provide vital support to the Camanachd Association as they look to promote awareness of Scotland’s community sport, bring it to a wider audience and help shape the future of shinty in Scotland.

Commenting on Rathbones’ addition to the Business Club, CEO Derek Keir was enthusiastic about the move, calling it “fantastic news for the Camanachd Association”. He said, “We are thrilled that Rathbones has joined our Business Club, and we are delighted to have the firm’s support for our work promoting this unique Scottish sport. The addition of Rathbones to our roster of partners is a ringing endorsement of the work we are doing to develop shinty, and we look forward to working with Rathbones to further that goal.”

Calum MacLean, Investment Manager at Rathbones, added: “This is a brilliant opportunity for Rathbones to support the Camanachd Association in their mission to develop shinty across Scotland. Having experienced the game first-hand for many years myself, I am delighted that Rathbones is playing a part in bringing the game to more communities across the country.

“Helping young people get active and stay involved in sport is something that is important to us at Rathbones. We look forward to working with the Association and their supporters to bring the thrill of this traditional Scottish sport to new audiences, and see it grow in popularity in the years to come.”
