Orbis Protect acquires Glasgow-based Optosafe

GLASGOW-based Optosafe has been acquired by Orbis Protect.

The deal comes comes following a sustained growth in Orbis Protect – a property, site and people specialist – during the COVID-19 crisis.

It’s decontamination services has seen an uptake since March, with 60 members of staff being trained in the service during lockdown.

They are had previously partnered with Optosafe for the past three years to make use of its 360-degree CCTV product.

NorthEdge Capital backed the deal, which will see Optosafe CTO John Robertson join Orbis as managing director of the Optosafe division.

The move is hoped to see Orbis achieve in excess of £8 million EBITDA in the next financial year.
