SINCE beginning its life as a humble kiosk at Buchanan Galleries back in 2005, STAG Gallery and Framers has gone from strength to strength as it celebrates one year in its new, bigger store in the Glasgow shopping centre.

Standing as one of the last city centre picture framers in Glasgow, STAG Gallery and Framers specialises in original and unique artwork of famous Scottish scenes and landscapes by renowned Scottish artists and emerging talent. Owner and Gallery Director, Cameron Reid took over the gallery in 2013.

Since taking over, Cameron has led on an impressive expansion and rebranding of the art shop, and after outgrowing its previous premises, moved into a larger unit within the shopping centre last October where shoppers are welcome to browse and purchase a wider range of artwork in a more curated gallery setting, thanks to Cameron’s eye for spotting a masterpiece.

The gallery and store has become a staple for tourists looking for a memory of their visit to Glasgow and Glaswegians who are passionate about local artists and their city.

Cameron Reid, Owner and Gallery Director at STAG Gallery and Framers, said, “Scotland is known for its stunning landscapes and natural beauty, and we’re proud to be able to carry pieces of original art and prints of this beautiful country, and more, whilst supporting local artists and makers.

“Our growth is a reflection of people’s demand for a unique sliver of Scotland. Whether they live here or are visiting tourists, and as we draw closer to our 1st birthday, we’re continuing our dedication to finding the perfect piece for each of our customers by offering them a fully bespoke service so that they might always be reminded of their time in Scotland.”

Kathy Murdoch, Centre Manager, Buchanan Galleries said “We’re proud to nurture independent, Glaswegian businesses at Buchanan Galleries such as STAG Gallery and Framers. After an uncertain number of years for retailers, the store’s commitment to showcase the unrivalled beauty of the country has really captured our visitor’s hearts.

“We’re excited to see STAG Gallery and Framers continue to grow and look forward to welcoming more locals and tourists alike to browse one-of-a-kind pieces to proudly display in their homes.”

STAG Gallery and Framers is located on the first floor of Buchanan Galleries in between Whittard of Chelsea and Scottish Design Exchange and will be presenting their upcoming autumn collection soon. For more information, visit: https://buchanangalleries.co.uk/
