OEG Energy (OEG) are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Coates as Topside Director at OEG Renewables (press release attached), further strengthening OEG’s senior management team as it pursues an ambitious growth strategy to grow revenues from over $400m to $1 billion in the next 5 years.
Ian Coates has been the Managing Director at Specialist Marine Consultants Limited (SMC) since he founded the business in 2006. Under his leadership he grew SMC to become a globally recognised provider of specialist topside services to the offshore energy and civil marine sectors. SMC was acquired by OEGR in 2022.
The OEGR Topside division offers a range of specialist services providing marine coordination, balance of plant, technology, temporary power and welfare solutions, which can be deployed alongside the wider OEGR and OEG Offshore offering, giving the opportunity to offer integrated service solutions to support wind farm developments through the construction and operation phases.
