North-east painting and decorator firm R Davidson, has bought Inverness firm Kelman Decorating to expand its services into the Highlands.
The move will see Kelman’s team of ten move across to R Davidson, boosting staff numbers to 100 strong across the two operational bases in Banchory and Inverness.

Established in 1930, R Davidson is one of the north-east’s longest established home improvement contractors, specialising in delivering bespoke painting, decorating, Ames taping and plastering services for the private domestic and commercial markets. In recent years, the firm has worked on some of Aberdeen’s most prestigious developments.
Kelman Decorating has been operating in the Highlands for 40 years and owner, Mark Kelman, will continue to head up the Inverness business as operations manager for R Davidson.
Increasing their presence in this area allows expansion of their services and enables them to broaden their offering for present and future customers.
