North East Firm Hires Young Professionals Despite Tough Market Conditions

EC-OG continues to buck the recruitment trend by taking on three young professionals in newly created roles.
As a result of increasing activity surrounding their ground-breaking Subsea Power Hub system, EC-OG have taken on Graceann Robertson, Slimane Kerrouchi and Ross Mitchell as new team members within the last three months. The young professionals join a diverse and talented team, which recently saw an intake of experienced individuals in roles such as Electrical and Electronics Engineer and Senior Control Systems Software Engineer.
Graceann Robertson, a recent graduate from the University of Aberdeen, takes on the full-time role of Marketing Co-ordinator after successfully completing a Santander-sponsored internship within EC-OG. Slimane Kerrouchi takes on the role of Graduate Engineer and will work on the company’s ground-breaking technology. Slimane holds a MEng in Mechanical & Offshore Engineering with distinction from the Robert Gordon University. Ross Mitchell, who holds an HNC in Mechanical Engineering from Aberdeen College, takes on the role of Draughtsman. Ross joins the team with experience in roles such as CAD and Sales.
EC-OG places great importance upon its people and are very keen to support up-and-coming talent in the region. This commitment to the future workforce was demonstrated at the Aberdeen event, ‘Young Professionals: The Future of the North East’ which was sponsored by EC-OG. Jointly organised by the young members of the IMechE, IChemE, SPE and the EIYPN, the event highlighted the positive future which is possible for them in the region.
