Built Environment – Smarter Transformation (BE-ST) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nicola Barclay, former Chief Executive of Homes for Scotland, as the new Board Chair. With over 30 years of extensive experience in construction, housing development, and leadership coaching, Barclay is poised to lead BE-ST in its mission to accelerate the built environment’s transition to zero carbon.

Outgoing Board Chair Andy Outram, concluding a successful three-year term, expresses his confidence in passing the baton to Barclay, citing her wealth of experience. He notes, “The diversity of backgrounds and calibre of new and remaining board members will ensure BE-ST continues to build a deserved reputation as a national innovation asset for construction.”
