New management team for Loanhead Lighting firm

WITH over 20 years of experience in the industry, Midlothian-headquartered Blackmoon Lighting Ltd has expanded its business with the appointment of three new directors following the retirement of its founder, Kenny Morrison.

Formed in 2004, Blackmoon specialise in concept designs, lighting modelling, and supplying energy efficient, sustainable lighting solutions for its clients in the commercial, residential, education, health care, industrial and leisure sectors.

Matthew Wright, a highly experienced construction industry executive has taken on the role of Managing Director and is joined by Ewan Arthur as Sales Director and Marc Faughnan as Operations Director.

Mr Wright said: “I’m excited about the journey ahead and confident that, together with lighting market experts Ewan and Marc, we will create the next chapter of success for Blackmoon and look forward to this exciting adventure as we illuminate the path to a brighter future.”

Ewan Arthur’s journey within the lighting industry, which has included working for the global brand, Zumbtobel, has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and insight has of the lighting market.

He said: “We have big ambitions for the business and have already rebranded with a new website to follow shortly. We are planning also to expand our product offering while upgrading our showroom to better display our extensive product range.

“The lighting industry has changed dramatically over the last 20 years and we believe our new dynamic approach will ensure us a position at the forefront of innovation in technology and design.”

Blackmoon Lighting employs 12 people and carries out installations across the UK. It also has the facility to design and manufacture bespoke luminaires and systems for both decorative or commercial applications.
