MM SEARCH, Scotland’s fastest-growing executive search firm, launches an IT Tech Exec Search division, following an increased demand for senior roles in this sector.

This development follows hard on the heels of the company’s recent expansion to new premises in Glasgow city centre, the appointment of four new members of staff and a recent award shortlist. MM Search has also reported a strong revenue increase of 50% year on year from 2021.

Douglas Hamilton joins as Associate Partner and will lead the IT Tech Exec Search team. Douglas will be leveraging his wealth of experience in IT to facilitate the launch of the company’s new division. This development will mark the first specialised sector at MM Search. “I’m thrilled to be joining MM Search at this point in the company’s journey,” said Douglas. “I look forward to bringing my specific industry knowledge to the team and supporting the business’s growth plans in the coming months and years.”

The company, which was previously headquartered in St Vincent Street, has recently completed renovations on a new space in the prestigious Blythswood Square area of the city. With twice the internal space of the previous location, these new premises have been designed to enable open collaboration and futureproof the business as it continues to grow at pace.

MM Search also made two further new appointments in the first quarter of 2022, with Andrew Jardine joining the MM Search team as Client Engagement Executive and Ewan Macphie as Business Delivery Executive. MM Search will also be welcoming another Saltire Scotland Intern, Heather Thomson from Glasgow University.

Meanwhile, an internal promotion has seen Euan Bodie take on the role of Business Delivery Manager. Having initially joined the team as a Business Delivery Executive in May 2021, Euan has progressed quickly and looks forward to applying his experience to this new position.

MM Search has also been named a Finalist in the British HR Awards 2022 in the “Recruitment Partner of the Year” category; winners will be announced in April.

MM Search Founding Managing Partner, Ken Morrice, said: “In the last quarter alone 21% of the roles that we are working on are in the IT sector, a rise we have never seen before, we predict that 2022 will see the requirement for qualified talent hit new heights. While demand is high, supply can be hard to find and secure. This is where good headhunters can show their worth and support businesses of all shapes and sizes in their quest for the right people right now.”

Derek MacFeate, Founding Managing Partner, added: “We are delighted to provide our growing team with such an inspiring new environment to work from. The office move is representative of the strides we’ve taken as a company since we launched in 2018 and will allow us the space we need as we continue to expand the business and develop our team.”
