Brown Shipley, a Quintet Private Bank, today announced the appointment of Katrina Johnson as Head of North Region. Reporting to CEO Robert Kitchen, Johnson will be based in Manchester and oversee Brown Shipley’s Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Birmingham offices – working closely with each office head and Simon Smith, Head of South Region. Johnson will also be part of the Brown Shipley Executive Committee.

Johnson has extensive experience in wealth management and private banking. She previously served at Barclays Wealth Management, where she spent 17 years in senior private banking and operations roles. Most recently, she was Regional Director, North England, covering Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

At Brown Shipley, Johnson will focus on further developing the bank’s strategy for the North, continuing to accelerate business development activities. Brown Shipley has been supporting families in the North since it was founded more than 200 years ago. Johnson will build on this strong heritage as she leads the team in the next growth phase.

“The North is a region of strategic importance to Brown Shipley, and we are delighted to welcome Katrina to the firm as we continue to drive growth and deliver a leading proposition to our clients,” said Kitchen. “Katrina brings a wealth of experience to the role. Her deep understanding of the Northern market, coupled with her proven ability to foster trusted client relationships, makes her ideally positioned to lead our next phase of regional growth.”

Johnson said: “I’m thrilled to join Brown Shipley and lead the firm’s development across the North of England and Scotland – regions with a diverse and growing client base. As the landscape continues to evolve amidst policy and economic shifts, anticipating and meeting evolving client needs will be my top priority. I look forward to working closely with the team to deliver long-term value and support our clients in achieving their ambitions – from one generation to the next.”
