Incremental Group, the digital transformation specialist founded in 2016 by a group of Scottish technology stalwarts, is on track for further growth in 2018 and as part of its expansion plans has relocated its Glasgow base from the Tontine building to innovative working space The Garment Factory.
Incremental – who work alongside commercial and public sector organisations to enable digital transformation with a particular focus on Microsoft Dynamics, Intelligence, Cloud, Applications and Consultancy services – has won a series of new clients over the last year including BP, Total, Aggreko, Scottish Leather Group and The Scottish Government.  Revenues are up during the same period by 60 per cent, while headcount has doubled to 70 across the group – at its Glasgow, Aberdeen (Inverurie) and newly opened (Q1 2018) Manchester office.  With a growing client base in oil and gas, public sector and manufacturing, Incremental is also increasingly targeting the professional services and large corporate markets in 2018.

CEO and co-founder Neil Logan, former CTO at Lockheed Martin BTS and Chairman of The Data Lab, aims to grow Incremental to around 180 staff and £20 million in revenues within three years and the company chose to locate in Glasgow to take advantage of the skilled talent pool developing in the city and the proximity to a large customer base.  The Garment Factory has capacity for Incremental to grow its Glasgow team to over 100 people.
Incremental Group CEO Neil Logan said: “Technology enables every organisation to achieve more and we’re now supporting the delivery of digital solutions to a diverse customer base across the commercial and public sectors.  Glasgow is the perfect place for us to be based and The Garment Factory gives us a really high tech, collaborative working environment and room to grow.  We’ve also got an amazing team in Inverurie who give us access to regional, national and international oil and gas markets and the newly opened Manchester office is a fantastic bridgehead into the rest of the UK.  Looking ahead, we are recruiting more multi-skilled digital technologists to support our growth plans including software engineers, data scientists, infrastructure engineers and project managers.”
Incremental was founded in 2016 with financial backing from Maven Capital and the Scottish Investment Bank and acquired Inverurie-based IT consultancy group First eBusiness Solutions in December 2016.  In 2017, Incremental received £500,000 of Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) support from Scottish Enterprise to help facilitate its expansion.
Silvio Clemente, head of company growth at Scottish Enterprise, said: “This is a great example of how quickly a company can scale up in a relatively short space of time with the right support, the right leadership, but most of all, the right ambition. The leadership team at Incremental have strong vision and confidence in both the quality of their service offering and market position, and it’s fantastic to see this evidenced by their investment in this impressive new facility in the Glasgow City Innovation District. We look forward to working with the company as it continues to pursue its ambitious growth plans.”
The new Glasgow office was officially opened today by the Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy, Paul Wheelhouse and the launch event includes keynote speaker Mark Beaumont, the world record-breaking Scottish endurance cyclist.
Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy, Paul Wheelhouse, said: “Innovative, inclusive and ambitious companies are the future of business in Scotland and Incremental is a great example of this.  It is fitting that they should take premises in the iconic Garment Factory – bringing enterprise and activity back to what was once the home of a bustling industry for the city.”
“The history and beautiful renovation of this building will inspire those who are lucky enough to work here and I hope that has the effect for Incremental of helping them achieve their plans to add a further 100 jobs in Scotland over the next two years. I look forward to Incremental engaging with our Enterprise and Skills Agencies to grow their business.”
