Impact Summit will return to Glasgow for its second year on May 15th 2019, welcoming over 400 entrepreneurial minds to shape the new age of business.

The annual festival, delivered by FutureX, is part of a global movement that puts values at the heart of business growth. Casting aside the conventions of a traditional conference, Impact Summit will be held in multidisciplinary arts venue, SWG3. The converted warehouse in Glasgow’s west end will become an interactive hub for attendees, speakers and exhibitors representing businesses from every sector.

Recognising the power of collaboration, Impact Summit is working in partnership with organisations including Sir Tom Hunter’s The Hunter Foundation, Scottish Government and Triodos Bank. It is also the closing event of the national CAN DO Fest. The inaugural Impact Summit saw keynote speaker First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP launch the Scotland CAN B initiative, strengthening Scotland’s commitment to championing business as a force for good.

In 2019 Derek MacKay MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work will talk about Scotland’s vision for building an inclusive economy.

Addressing the challenges businesses face in today’s climate, the summit will explore three key themes: A Sustainable Future, Tech for Good and People Behind the Purpose. Some of today’s most innovative and forward-thinking business leaders are set to share their stories and spark conversation. The first wave of confirmed speakers include award-winning social entrepreneur Celia Hodson, Founder of Hey Girls, who use a buy-one-give-one model to tackle period poverty, and German Bencci, Organiser of Code Your Future, who support refugees and underprivileged individuals to become developers.

FutureX, who are also behind Scotland’s leading startup event, Startup Summit, are leading a movement of entrepreneurs and innovative citizens who believe in a purpose-driven approach to business.

Co-founders, Zoi Kantounatou and Bruce Walker, are working with governments, corporates and entrepreneurs to bring purpose and values into the mainstream business environment. Impact Summit has been created to bring all the resources together, create dialogue and work in partnership to transform society.

Bruce Walker, co-founder of FutureX, said:
“At Impact Summit 2019, it won’t be business as usual. In one of Glasgow’s coolest venues, we’re challenging the status quo and celebrating the individuals who are using entrepreneurship to transform society. This is an open call to social innovators from the private, public and voluntary sectors to join us at Impact Summit and help us build an exciting and inclusive future.”
