HEAL Physiotherapy, Dundee’s trusted clinic that has treated over 25,000 patients since it’s launch in 2004, has today (March 14th 2022) launched Heal Health. The new private healthcare clinic offers quick, local access to expert Orthopaedic Consultants, without long waiting lists.

Heal Health sees the clinic’s team diversify and expand with the addition of four leading Orthopaedic surgeons, and a need for further administrative support, bringing the Heal workforce up to 22.

The new Orthopaedic offering, combined with Heal’s existing services, transitions the clinic into a fully integrated service, supporting patients’ recovery journeys from initial consultation to rehabilitation. From niggling injuries to the investigation of chronic and recurrent problems, Heal Health is accessible to anyone wishing to bypass waiting lists, with no need to see a GP first. The clinic is able to examine, diagnose, provide expert treatment and rehabilitate patients all under one roof, treating issues including arthritis, tendon injuries, shoulder pain, knee ligament reconstructions, cartilage damage, soft tissue problems.

Services are accessible to a vast catchment area including Tayside, Fife, Perthshire and Angus, eliminating the need for patients to travel great distances to access experts. Currently, patients in these areas wishing a private consultation, will often travel to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. Patients can book appointments with Heal, the overarching brand name encompassing: Heal Physiotherapy, Heal Massage Therapy, Heal Pilates and Heal Health Consulting Clinics, either directly on the website or be referred by a healthcare professional.

Lynne Falconer, Director and Physiotherapist at Heal, said: “As physios, Heal has established an excellent reputation and we get superb feedback from our patients, who trust us and know us. We’re thrilled to be expanding our business and our new Orthopaedic associates are equally reputable in their field. We can now combine our expertise with their skills and knowledge, giving patients access to our one-stop-shop for the complete package of expert healthcare.”

Sally Kiddie, Director and Physiotherapist at Heal added: “We’ve seen patients in the clinic who have had to travel to Glasgow and beyond for Orthopaedic consultations and the last two years have compounded the problems often experienced when trying to access specialists. When someone is in pain, the idea of travelling any distance is daunting. Heal’s private healthcare option is essential to ensure patients in the area can access expert opinions and assessment as efficiently as possible. By adding Heal Health clinics, we’re offering patients a comprehensive multi-service, meaning we have the structure to help patients who are suffering quickly, and streamline their care journey.”

The four acclaimed consultants confirmed to practise at Heal Health are Mr Arpit Jariwala, Mr Manhal Nassif, Mr Stephen Dalgleish and Mr Graeme Nicol. Each renowned for their expertise and specialising in different areas of Orthopaedics, giving evidence-based opinions and treatment on all aspects of the musculoskeletal system.

The clinics offer consultations, advice and steroid joint injections. MRI and CT scans can also be arranged privately with Heal at a University facility located at Ninewells. The consultants will also use surrounding hospitals’ operating theatres where they have existing practising privilege agreements. Combining the forces of these specialists and Heal’s existing team of top Physiotherapists gives each patient a seamless care journey and bespoke treatment plan.

With established alliances with local GPs, NHS staff, gyms, personal trainers, and local businesses, Heal also has strong links to the University of St. Andrews, SportScotland, and a Most Enterprising Business Award win.
