Aberdeen based dive consultancy DiveSource Limited has been awarded a multi-million pound contract with an established UK North Sea Operator.
DiveSource has secured a three year Master Service Agreement, with two optional one-year extensions for the Provision of Company Subsea Representatives and Consulting Services.
The scope of work outlines the requirement for DiveSource to provide Company Subsea Representatives to support the established Operator in the North Sea and Norway.
The award of the contract has allowed DiveSource to expand its team, with the core team based in Aberdeen due to double in Q1 in 2018 and the pool of active contractors reaching 120.
Managing Director Sarah Hutcheon comments, “The award of a contract of this size and value means that the future of the company is extremely positive in what remains a challenging market. It has given us the confidence to grow our core team within Aberdeen and our staff levels will have more than doubled by the end of Q1 next year. We are looking forward to working in collaboration with the Operator on safe subsea operations overseen by competent Company Reps”
Within the last year DiveSource has launched the Dive Control Simulator, expanded their current team and been recognised as an official training provider on the Transition Fund Scheme where they help those affected by the oil and gas downturn. DiveSource also announced the appointment of Richard “Jonah” Jones as Diving Technical Authority and Jonah will also act as a focal point on this contract also.
