Cameron Intellectual Property has acquired and relocated its headquarters to new premises in Glasgow city-centre.
The patent, trademark and design attorney has moved from 900 sq ft into the 2000 sq ft office at Moncrieff House on West Nile Street as it forges ahead with ambitious expansion plans.
Founded in 2011 by Stewart Cameron, the business provides a full range of intellectual property services relating to patents, designs, trademarks and copyright.
Working across a diverse range of business sectors, its team also includes director and shareholder Steven McIlroy, as well as experienced trademark attorney Meena Murrin, who recently joined the firm to head-up its trademark practice.
Stewart Cameron believes the new office will provide an improved working environment for staff, client meetings and provide a springboard for future growth.
He said: “The business has enjoyed steady and consistent growth over the past seven years as we have developed our client base and met our commitment of providing a first-class service to our clients.
“We have invested heavily in our systems and procedures over the last couple of years and that investment is now bearing fruit.
“The acquisition of our new office heralds the next phase in our aspirations for growth and gives us a dynamic platform to grow our team and meet increasing demand across an extremely buoyant and entrepreneurial marketplace.”
Stewart has recently returned from a business trip in LA and Seattle, where he attended the world’s largest trademark conference and met with local patent and trademark clients.
He added: “We are seeing lots of opportunity to partner with our colleagues and clients in the US to support them in filing UK and European patents and trademarks, and to help them navigate the implications of Brexit and its implications for IP.
“These recent developments in the firm, its infrastructure and its client base have created a number of synergies and I believe they will play a key role in the continued growth of Cameron Intellectual Property.”
