LEADING Scottish Hospitality Group, Buzzworks Holdings, is celebrating after scooping two prestigious awards for its commitment to being a top employer and ensuring the wellbeing of its staff.

The company, which has nineteen venues across Scotland, clinched the highly coveted ‘Hospitality Employer Award’ and the ‘Workplace Health and Wellbeing Award’ at two separate ceremonies.

Buzzworks was given the accolade of Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award at the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Awards last Friday (October 6). The accomplishment closely followed their recent win at the Scottish Bar & Pub Awards, formerly known as the DRAM awards, where they were recipients of the highly regarded Hospitality Employer Award.

Nicola Watt, Head of People at Buzzworks Holdings, said: “Receiving both the Hospitality Employer Award and the Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award is an incredible honour for Buzzworks.

“It reflects our unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing and fulfilling work environment for our exceptional team members. The success of our business would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our talented team, which is why we are committed to ensuring the wellbeing of our people remains our top priority as we continue to grow.”

The independent bar and restaurant operator has become renowned for its industry-leading staff benefits, including competitive rates, ongoing training and development, career progression, flexible working, and health and wellbeing incentives.

For the wellbeing award, employee wellbeing and happiness, great leadership, engagement in internal communications platforms, and pride in working for the company were highlighted as the top-scoring factors for Buzzworks.

An impressive 86 per cent of team members also said they felt proud to work at Buzzworks, a result of the continued focus on employee engagement and company culture.

Nicola continued: “Being recognised with these two prestigious awards is a testament to the remarkable individuals who make up our team at Buzzworks Holdings. Their talent and dedication are the driving force behind our success.

“The journey to this milestone has been extraordinary for our business, and as we continue to expand our venue portfolio, we are determined to maintain a workplace that is dynamic, fun, and above all, prioritises our people.”
