Barrhead Travel to create 120 new jobs with expansion

Barrhead Travel is set to create 120 new roles across the UK this year as it progresses with its business expansion strategy.
The Glasgow-headquartered firm is looking for talented individuals for roles in a number of areas, including sales and marketing, web development and management. A significant number of modern apprentice roles are also on offer, and there are opportunities across the travel firm’s homeworking and franchise divisions.
The recruitment drive spans Scotland as well as the North of England, with posts available in stores across Glasgow, East Kilbride, Edinburgh, Newcastle, and at Barrhead’s specialist cruise call centre in Larbert. Homeworking opportunities are available UK-wide.
Barrhead Travel chief executive Sharon Munro said: “We want to find the best people out there to help us continue to deliver an unrivalled travel experience to our customers.
“Our people are at the heart of our business and we are passionate about developing each and every member of staff. I started with the company as a modern apprentice and I’m very proud to have progressed through the business to the role of chief executive.
“We have created roles which will be a perfect match for people from all whole range of educational and vocational backgrounds, who want to continue to provide a high level of customer service. There are fantastic opportunities for progression within the company, and we also give members of staff the chance to experience different areas of the business.
“Our head office in the heart of Glasgow city centre provides fantastic opportunities for career progression across areas including marketing, business development, IT, web design, HR and digital marketing.
“As a progressive and forward-thinking company, we embrace innovations in new technology, and we’re continually thinking about the implementation of new developments across our business.”
