Avant Homes commences new phase of homes at Weavers Lea, Barrhead

SCOTTISH housebuilder Avant Homes has announced its plan to build a further 134 homes at its popular Weavers Lea development in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire.

The £40.9m 27-acre development is located on Aurs Road just eight miles southwest of Glasgow. The new phase of homes will feature a selection of three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached properties across a number of Avant Homes design-led housetypes.

Construction has commenced on site with the first homes of the new phase now for sale and due to be available in spring 2021. The showhomes are also due to open in February 2021.

Weavers Lea’s first phase of houses included 26 high-quality three and four-bedroom new build homes across six different housetypes and is now 90 per cent sold ahead of the launch of the second phase of homes.

Avant Homes Scotland sales and marketing director, Theresa Barbour, said: “The first phase of our Weavers Lea development in Barrhead has had a significant amount of interest since its launch in August 2019, and we’re pleased for it to be 90 per cent sold ahead of the launch of our second phase.

“Due to its proximity to Glasgow and the nearby countryside, there is a significant demand for housing in the area and providing a further 134 homes demonstrates our commitment to meeting buyer demand in Barrhead and beyond.”

Weavers Lea is situated a short drive from Barrhead town centre and has excellent motorway links with the M77 close by leading to Glasgow city centre in the north and Kilmarnock in the south. The development is also near local amenities, schools, supermarkets and excellent train and bus links.

Avant Homes Scotland is an operating company of the Avant Homes group, one of the leading private developers of residential property in the UK. It currently operates across 12 sites stretching from Dargavel Village in Bishopton to Newtonlees in Dunbar.
