Amity Fish Co. awarded for business growth at digital awards

Amity Fish Company has claimed the Business Growth Award at the Herald Digital Transformation Awards.

THE Scottish seafood supplier, based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire was shortlisted alongside finalists Altar Group, Arran Sense of Scotland, NoTosh and Snappy Shopper in the category, celebrating businesses that have used technology with significant results through the pandemic and beyond, before claiming the top prize at the award ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile Amity’s Digital Content Creator, Jenna Urquhart, was also shortlisted in the Digital Professional of the Year category that night, losing out to Daniel Rodgers of Qikserve.

The Digital Transformation awards recognise and reward Scottish businesses across all industries and sectors who are using digital technology in new and innovative ways. This can be to benefit the people they work with, grow their business, deliver successful digital marketing campaigns, or completely change the way they are working on a daily basis.

Unable to attend the ceremony in person, upon learning of the the win, Amity Managing Director Jimmy Buchan expressed his surprise and joy:

Well done to Jenna too for being shortlisted for the Digital Professional award. Although she did not win, she was up against some of the  best in the field. Amity’s win is an exciting development in a successful 2022 so far as they took home the Digital/E-commerce Business of the Year at the Scottish FSB Awards in March, before being named UK Small Business of the Year in the UK FSB Final in May.
