Altia-ABM increases turnover to £5.5m with profits of £1m

Altia-ABM, the Glasgow-based specialist software group has increases its turnover by 10% from £5m to £5.5m with operating profit rising to £1m along with winning new business in Australia, South America.

The firm, which supplies bespoke software for criminal and financial investigations, is also one of the key suppliers of sensitive systems and software for covert operations and intelligence management.

Ian Watson, CEO of Altia-ABM, said: “We are delighted that the firm continues to grow, both in terms of headcount and revenue. We have increased the value of sales to existing customers in the UK and have won major new contracts in our key target markets in Canada and Australia. We also won new contracts with the enforcement authorities in Peru, Colombia and Panama, based on our strategic partnerships with the National Crime Agency and the Department for International Trade. Our trading and financial performance allows us to invest in new staff and new services for customers as well as continuing to expand across the world.”

During 2018, Altia-ABM increased its head count by 12 to 54 and established a bespoke training facility in Nottingham to provide courses designed to ensure that customers use the software to its full potential.

Earlier this month the company released their latest product – smartcase. 

Ian Watson said the product is an important addition to the firm’s suite of tailored solutions:

“Smartcase is a secure, web-based platform that really enhances the investigation process no matter what your team’s focus is; whether that be fraud, loss prevention, risk, anti-counterfeiting or HR.”
