Mercedes-Benz Trucks has expanded its Authorised Repairer Network with the addition of Alltruck Group, enhancing its support for heavy vehicle operators in the Central Belt of Scotland and beyond. The prestigious appointment comes after a comprehensive training and recruitment process, and Alltruck Group is now officially open to the public. The company, established in 2012, has rapidly gained a reputation as an independent, all-makes service agent. In addition to its workshop, Alltruck Group operates a successful truck rental business with a fleet of over 300 vehicles and serves as a main agent for Fassi cranes in Scotland.

Alltruck Group’s Managing Director, Martin Shaw, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Mercedes-Benz network, stating, “Joining the Mercedes-Benz network as an official Authorised Repairer has taken us to the next level.” The strategically located workshop, nestled between Falkirk and Grangemouth and situated just yards away from the M9 motorway, now features eight full-length bays, including two with inspection pits. The site covers a secure 15-acre area and operates with a team of 22 technicians, including three apprentices, who work round-the-clock shifts from Monday morning to Friday evening, and all day on Saturdays. Plans are underway to introduce a dedicated ATF lane early next year.

Boxing clever: Alltruck now boasts an extensive stock of Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts and FUSO Canter parts

Significant investments have been made to enhance customer service, including expanding staff to manage the depot’s stock of Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts. Martin Shaw highlighted the improvements: “We’ve effectively created an entire parts department from scratch. Previously most of our parts were delivered as needed; now we hold an extensive stock with a team of seven specialists to manage it.” The expansion has also led to additional hiring in administration, reception, and warranty roles.

Despite the rapid growth, Alltruck Group remains committed to its original customers and aims to maintain the highest standards of service. Shaw noted, “Our commitment to those original customers remains unwavering. We understand the needs of those in the road transport industry and are fully committed to providing the very highest standards of service – so it’s very gratifying to report that the feedback we’ve received from long-standing customers and those who are new to us has been very positive.”

Leonhard Niemann, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK’s newly-appointed Head of Network Development, expressed his delight about the partnership with Alltruck Group, saying, “We’re delighted to be working with Alltruck to bring even better service coverage to our customers in Scotland and to expand our representation across the UK. The appointment of this trusted partner helps us to provide a full parts and service offering to operators in this important part of the country, and we look forward to growing together.”

This collaboration signifies a significant step forward for both Alltruck Group and Mercedes-Benz Trucks, strengthening their presence in the Scottish market and ensuring exceptional service for heavy vehicle operators in the region.
