Edinburgh-headquartered Timberbush Tours has established its new hub at Inverness Bus Station where it will operate a fleet of coaches to carry tourists on a range of 1-3-day tours to the likes of Applecross, Skye, Loch Ness, John O Groats and Orkney.
The move to Inverness is part of an expansion strategy undertaken by Timberbush which increased its tour schedule last year by offering trips to the Highlands and Islands as well as catering for the hugely popular Outlander Effect – the clamour by overseas tourists to visit the ‘iconic’ castles and landmarks featured in the hit television series, as well as the likes of Glenfinnan Viaduct, so closely associated with The Harry Potter movie franchise.

“Inverness has always been a popular destination for our tours and our market research indicated that ‘bed nights’ in the local hotels, hostels and guest houses were at such a consistently high level, that it made a lot of sense to invest in establishing a permanent hub in the city.
“It has taken lots of detailed planning by the team to create and exciting range of scheduled tours and provide bespoke private tours – all delivered by a team of passionate and knowledgeable guides. Furthermore, for the first time we will be providing shore excursions from Invergordon, Easter Ross, adding to our current offering of shore excursions from Edinburgh & Greenock.”
