The Scottish Government and property industry body Real Estate:Scotland have announced a partnership to promote Scottish real estate and regeneration opportunities to investors, backed by £208,000 in initial funding.

The package combines £100,000 from the government with £108,000 in private-sector match funding. It will support the promotion of investment opportunities, direct engagement with investors and longer-term relationship building.

Announced on 15 September, the initiative aims to connect investors with the Scottish Government, local authorities and property businesses, alongside showcasing projects seeking investment.

Real Estate:Scotland represents the property industry, including investors, developers, advisers and operators. Its involvement brings the sector together with government to promote opportunities to domestic and international capital.

Stephen Flynn, Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Transport and Tourism, confirmed joint participation in MIPIM 2027, the international real estate event. The wider programme is intended to build investor relationships beyond events such as MIPIM and UKREiiF.

The partnership was announced at a parliamentary reception hosted by Paul McLennan MSP.

Elliot Robertson, chief executive of Robertson Group, said: “Robertson has worked closely with Scottish Government and industry partners over the past year to help develop this approach, and we will continue to support its delivery.”

He encouraged other organisations in the sector to join the programme, with the aim of presenting a more coordinated case for investment in Scotland.

The announcement did not identify individual projects to be promoted or set a target for the amount of investment the partnership hopes to attract.
