GLASGOW-based software group Altia-ABM has appointed a new director for North America.

Paul M. Bourassa will provide strategic advice on sales, long-term strategy and customer relations for Canada and the US.

Altia-ABM’s range of products provides tools for the management of complex financial investigations, covert operations and the creation of digital case files.

Throughout his career Paul has conducted prosecutions and provided strategic legal advice in the areas of asset recovery, proceeds of crime, illegal drug supply and money laundering. In recent years he has also trained senior law enforcement officers and financial investigators in Canada and the Middle East.

Mr. Bourassa said: “Altia-ABM’s tried and trusted products offer significant benefits to law enforcement professionals and businesses. By shifting the focus from labour-intensive, time-consuming tasks to rapid data capture and analytics, investigations become more accurate and 2targeted.

This is a game changer in the detection of fraud and successful prosecution of criminals and I am looking forward to offering that specialist perspective to customers in North America.”

Rob Sinclair, Altia-ABM chief executive officer, said: “International expansion is a key part of our strategy over the next two years.

“With Paul at the helm in North America I’m confident that we are in a strong position to capitalise on our recent customer wins.”
