Brightsolid extends business development team

THE managed hybrid cloud services company, Brightsolid, has appointed two client engagement managers.

Stuart Paterson and Jonathan Ross join the organisation with significant business development experience across both public and private sector clients.

With more than 15 years of commercial and technical experience, Stuart joins Brightsolid with a background in working with several leading IT service providers, including Pulsant and Iomart.

Jonathan holds over seven years of experience working with some of Scotland’s leading IT organisations, including Hutchinson Networks, Cinos and PTS Consulting.

Stuart and Jonathan will be responsible for overseeing existing client relationships, as well as expanding the organisation’s new client base.

They will report into Brightsolid’s chief sales officer, Malcolm Smith and be based at Brightsolid’s Edinburgh office.

Commenting on the appointments, Malcolm said:  “While there is no doubt that the technology market has been put under incredible strain as a result of Covid-19, we are encouraged by the conversations we are having with many organisations, who are showing active intent to not only move to, but accelerate their journeys to the cloud.

“The appointment of Stuart and Jonathan marks our commitment to the future of Brightsolid, increasing our headcount within the business development team to six. T

The experience that Stuart and Jonathan have is unparalleled having each worked with major IT organisations in Scotland.”

Stuart commented: “Joining Brightsolid at a time when the cloud computing market is growing and thriving is exciting. Having worked in the sector for several years, Brightsolid’s legacy and renewed focus on hybrid cloud managed services were major factors in my joining the organisation.”

Jonathan said: “Having cut my teeth in Scotland’s vibrant tech sector, being able to join Brightsolid with its experience of working with both the public and private sectors was something not to be turned down.”
