Scottish software developer tastes success with Deliveroo

Cultivate, the Edinburgh-based software design and web applications specialist is partnering with food delivery company, Deliveroo to support its software engineering push and international growth plans.
Having first been engaged by Deliveroo in late 2016, Cultivate has extended its partnership with the British technology company and is providing a number of its own software engineers to work closely with key members of Deliveroo’s technology team.
While Cultivate has undertaken project work with corporate and public sector clients including JP Morgan, General Electric and The Government Digital Service, the team has increasingly been working with high growth VC-backed startups including LivingSocial and HouseTrip, which was acquired by TripAdvisor in 2016.
Cultivate’s Commercial Director, Andy Robinson, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Deliveroo through such an impressive period of growth. We do our best work partnering with teams where high quality software is paramount and this partnership is a perfect example of that. Deliveroo and Cultivate share a passion for creating the highest quality products for our customers and we are pleased to bring our experience to the table on such a high profile platform.”
Dan Webb, VP of Engineering at Deliveroo, said: “As a British-born technology company, we’re really proud to be partnering with Cultivate, who are providing world-leading expertise that has been homegrown here in the UK. Cultivate has been a fantastic partner for us – their team has integrated seamlessly into ours and we’re excited for them to be part of our continued work to build world-leading technology that means we can provide the very best service for our customers, restaurants and riders.”
