A north east video production specialist has rebranded following a change in ownership and set its sights on further expansion over the coming months.

Urbane Media will build upon the success experienced by Fennel Media since 2016 with an established client base operating across the oil and gas, food and drink, and property sectors, among others.

The company is led by the same key operational staff, including creative directors Kevin Stride and Richard Baron, operations manager Jo McIntosh and production co-ordinator Mark Mathers.

As part of the asset buyout, the new company takes over the existing client base of more than 100 firms, technical equipment, hardware and intellectual property.

Urbane Media has also moved into new office premises at the Cirrus Building, International Avenue, Dyce that is double the size of its previous premises at the Thainstone Business Centre, near Inverurie.

Urbane Media provides video production, aerial photography/videography and animation services. Prior to the sale, its team had been tasked with working further afield on large and increasingly complex projects throughout the UK and internationally, including in offshore environments.

Jo McIntosh, operations manager at Urbane Media, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Urbane Media to our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, who can be assured of receiving the same levels of creativity and service from the experienced team they are used to dealing with.

“Since 2016, our team has built up a terrific reputation in the local market and further afield and we are fortunate to be able to build upon that momentum, albeit under a new name.

“The new identity will allow us to grow the business, while we are actively exploring opportunities to extend our service offering and capabilities to new and existing customers.”

Urbane Media expects to record turnover of more than £250,000 in its first year with plans to double this figure to half-a-million pounds by 2020.

Kevin Stride, creative director at Urbane Media, added: “We’re looking forward to the next stage in the business’ journey to date and what promises to be an exciting future for everyone connected to Urbane Media.”

Urbane Media delivers the full range of filming and editing services from its in-house creative design studio, including video production, animation and 3D modelling, live event filming, aerial photography/videography and audio-visual rental and installation services.
