As Glasgow undergoes a city centre rehabitation as a residential district with rising values and a pipeline of new development, Lisa, who started her career at Slater Hogg & Howison in 1995, brings over twenty years of property markets in central Glasgow including the Merchant City.
Lisa Pitchers, Rettie & Co, said: “The city is a transient market, first time buyers tend to stay for a few years before moving out to the suburbs.  While historically around 50 per cent of purchases have been to buy to let investors including parents buying for their children at university, over the last 18 to 24 months we are noticing more lifestyle buyers moving into the city with 75 per cent of sales so far this year being to home movers.”
Simon Rettie, Managing Director at Rettie & Co, said: “Glasgow has been one of our fastest growing markets, we see great potential in the city centre of and it’s great to have Lisa, who brings unrivalled sales experience in the area, in place at our Glasgow City office.”
Rettie & Co, the independent firm of property specialists, was founded in 1993 and now has over 130 people working across 9 offices.
