New £1.5m trampoline park for Edinburgh outskirts

23/04/2018

The UK’s fastest growing trampoline park operator, Jump In, opened the doors of its latest £1.5m high-spec arena on the outskirts of Edinburgh this weekend, creating 65 local jobs, to hundreds of excited families from across the central belt who enjoyed demonstrations by British Champion Trampoline Gymnast, Lara Craig (22) from Musselburgh.

Located on the outskirts of Edinburgh in Newhailes Industrial Estate, Musselburgh, the 23,000 sq ft  site is the second site in Scotland. It follows on from the successful launch of its park in Aberdeen in 2017 by founders Gavin Lucus and Vernon and Linsey West who launched the company in 2015 after researching jumping not only helps to improve core strength and cardiovascular fitness but also cognitive development in children.

The latest opening is part of a rapid expansion programme where they have grown from three sites at the beginning of 2017 to this being the eighth, with others in the pipeline.

The park in Musselburgh boasts over 50 interconnected trampolines, battle beam, tumble track, dodgeball court, giant air bag, foam pit, drop slide and an interactive wall game and a café.

It will also run various parent and toddler sessions, disco nights, student events and is available for birthday parties and corporate hire.   Over the next couple of months, they will introduce fitness classes and sensory sessions for families with ASN children, which can help them to acquire new motor skills, improve coordination and increase stamina.

Gavin Lucas, CEO said: “We are absolutely delighted to open our second site in Scotland, just outside the city centre and create so many new jobs for the local area.

“Our trampoline parks allow children to play, socialise, keep fit and most importantly have fun bouncing and skyrocketing in a safe and secure environment, looked after by a fantastic team of highly skilled and well-trained staff.

“The feedback so far has been fantastic not only from kids but from parents too who love being able to join in the fun with their kids.”
