BDO promotes 33 across its Scottish team

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has promoted 33 staff across its Scottish team.

The promotions span the audit and assurance, risk advisory services and tax practices in the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. BDO has promoted a record high of 1,110 UK-wide.

BDO recently appointed three partners in Scotland in addition to 22 new partners UK-wide in the last financial year and, last month, announced 280 new trainees. The firm has also recently launched a new wellbeing strategy internally, focused on the importance of mental health and wellbeing, as well as a new personal development framework to ensure individuals feel in control of their learning and development at BDO.

Martin Gill, head of BDO in Scotland, said: “These 33 promotions really underline the talent we have within our Scottish team. One of the best parts of my role is to share good news like this and it is so rewarding to see each of these individuals succeeding in their respective roles.

“BDO continues to grow because our people continue to provide our clients with innovative solutions and the very best support. Our success is all because of our team and their continued hard work and commitment.

“As a firm, we are committed to investing in our people, creating an environment where talent and hard work is recognised and rewarded, with continued professional development encouraged. It’s important to us that our culture is a supportive one, allowing people to be the best that they can be – essential if BDO is to continue attracting the brightest and the best.”
