Avant Homes Scotland has opened the new five-bedroom detached family Thurso showhome at its £60m Carnethy Heights development in Penicuik.

Located just 10 miles south of Edinburgh, the 165-home development comprises a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom practically designed, energy-efficient homes.

The showhome has been launched at the same time as the final phase of new homes at Carnethy Heights have been released for sale.

Prices for the remaining properties range from £354,995 for the four-bedroom Lenzie style home to £474,000 for the larger four-bedroom Westbury which features a double garage.

Interested buyers can now visit the popular five-bedroom Thurso showhome to see what Avant Homes has to offer first-hand.

On the ground floor, the Thurso features a bright entrance hallway that leads to a generously sized lounge as well as a second living space which can utilised as a home office and family room.

At the rear of the property, there is a large open-plan kitchen with integrated appliances, with a separate utility leading off the kitchen.

The kitchen space includes a dining area and a further living area and runs along the full width of the home providing an ideal area for entertaining. There are also double French doors opening directly to the rear garden.

The Thurso also boasts a large downstairs WC and under stair storage making it ideal for family living whilst, outside, the property benefits from a detached garage.

Upstairs, off the galleried landing, the two main double bedrooms each have their own ensuite shower room. The additional three bedrooms share a family bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, WC and washbasin.

The generous landing space provides a dedicated work or reading area and also features an additional storage cupboard.

Avant Homes also has a range of incentives on selected homes at the development, including part exchange and LBTT paid.

Avant Homes Scotland sales and marketing director, Lisa Archibald, said: “Our new Thurso show home is a great opportunity for prospective customers to experience our practically designed, energy-efficient homes up close.

“We have house styles available at Carnethy Heights to suit a range of buyers, from those purchasing their first home, move-up buyers and downsizers.

“As a business, we are committed to providing quality new homes for everyone and continuing to build new communities in popular locations.

“We therefore look forward to welcoming our prospective buyers to Carnethy Heights to explore our showhome and discuss how we can make their next ideal move a reality.”
