Two Cala Homes site managers from Aberdeen have been awarded the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National Home Building Council (NHBC).

This is the eighth time Rob Swanson, site manager for Cala Homes (North)’s Murtle Den Park development, and the second time Ben Chapman, site manager for the housebuilder’s Southbank development, have both won the title.

The annual awards, run by the NHBC and launched more than 40 years ago, celebrate outstanding work and commitment to ensuring the highest quality in housebuilding. It is one of the most highly regarded accolades in the sector.

Rob and Ben will now go on to the Seal of Excellence stage of the awards, with regional winners then eligible to scoop the national Supreme Award title.

Rob said: “These awards are the most highly regarded in the housebuilding industry, so I’m delighted to be included again along with Ben.

Ben added: “Rob and I both work hard to ensure our sites are well looked after and the homes we build are up to top construction standards, so it’s an honour to be recognised by the NHBC.”

Steve Jarvie, Construction Director for Cala Homes (North), commented: “The Pride in the Job Quality Award is a real benchmark of excellence in our sector, and we’re so proud of Rob and Ben’s win. This is testament to the hard work they carry out on a day-to-day basis, ensuring our site and its teams, including our subcontractor partners, achieve the highest standards for our customers and communities.

“Many congratulations to them both, and good luck from everyone at Cala on the next stage of the Pride in the Job process.”
